Theft!

Here is the finished blouse which mini-me has stolen from me. It is suitably vintage for her taste and looks much better on her. I wasn't that happy with the fit on the shoulders. If I ever get it back, I'll turn it into a sleeveless dress by taking the sleeves off and adding a black skirt.
Tonight I'm tracing patterns and testing fit. I need to have at least one garment ready to sew for my guild meeting on Saturday.

  1. This is perfect with the black mini skirt! And a good idea, to turn it into a dress afterwards.

  3. That is exceedingly cool. I want to steal it from her. Is it a print, or did you piece the fabrics together? Either way, it is fabulous.

  15. This looks beautiful on her. The great thing about teenagers, though, is their short attention span. I forsee you being able to "rescue" it from her closet one day soon and then repurpose into a dress for you. ;)

  16. That looks great on her. It is wonderful that she wants to wear the things you make...when I was that age I would have DIED if my mom made my clothes for me. But then my niece...she loves the stuff I make for her. Maybe I was just a rotten kid!!

  17. How cool that your daughter stole it from you --- it is the highest compliment! The blouse looks fabulous. I always wanted my mom to sew clothes for me but, given that she despises sewing, everything was always store-bought. Bravo!
