Why are these kids so happy?

Because they are leaving their parents for a whole year travelling to the other side of the world to train as youth leaders. My DD is the one with the biggest smile in the middle.

I am so proud of her. She did very well in her final year at school and achieved a place in one the top Universities here. She will study Media and Communications combined with Law or Global Studies (she can't decide) when she returns.

Between getting her on the plane and starting my new job I haven't done much sewing. I have cut my blouses and hope to finish two by the end of the week.

  7. Oh I know the mixed feelings you are having about her leaving. I know you are very, very proud of her, as you should be, but at the same time you wish you could keep her home forever. That is if you feel the same as I did when my girls left one at a time! She's beautiful, just like her mom.
