It has been a long, long day but I reckon my new grey wool pencil skirt has stood up to it better than the Ponte jacket. This is the first of my self drafted pencil skirts which I'll be wearing as part of my corporate 'uniform'. The drafting instructions from Studio Faro include a zip guard - photographed below. So happy sewing and don't forget to make a comment on my previous post if you are interested in receiving the Pattern Pyramid.
Thanks for showing the zip guard. I've been wondering about how to do them for an invisible zip.

These are two very nice skirts; your working wardrobe is so smart.
ReplyDeleteThe zip guard is great. Both of your skirts look great Gail.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting to see these skirts, the fabrics for both are so lovely. The grey wool pairs perfectly with the teal colour jacket and actually you look pretty together for the end of the working day!
ReplyDeleteThey look like great work skirts - looking very good in fact for the end of the day! The zip guard sounds like such a sensible idea too... And I just had to check out the link - thank you, I will definitely be following Studio Faro!
ReplyDeleteHey Gail, love your skirts! And thanks so much for the share(s). Lovely job on the zip guard and that lacy evening skirt is fantastic. Looking forward to our workshop on Sunday. Dress Patterns here we come. :)
