Because they are leaving their parents for a whole year travelling to the other side of the world to train as youth leaders. My DD is the one with the biggest smile in the middle.
I am so proud of her. She did very well in her final year at school and achieved a place in one the top Universities here. She will study Media and Communications combined with Law or Global Studies (she can't decide) when she returns.
Between getting her on the plane and starting my new job I haven't done much sewing. I have cut my blouses and hope to finish two by the end of the week.
Congratulations to you and your daughter. What a wonderful adventure to embark on!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and you absolutely should be proud!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great experience for your daughter! How are you doing with it? Will you visit her while she is gone?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You're going to miss her like crazy! I may just have to come to Sydney and go fabric shopping with you for therapy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful experience for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You must be the proudest ever.
ReplyDeleteOh I know the mixed feelings you are having about her leaving. I know you are very, very proud of her, as you should be, but at the same time you wish you could keep her home forever. That is if you feel the same as I did when my girls left one at a time! She's beautiful, just like her mom.
ReplyDeleteWOW - good for her!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and Happy Australia Day Gail!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an achiever. How tough and how exciting at the same time. You are a very busy family at the moment!
