I have this completely OTT skirt that I really love but always wear with a plain black t-shirt. It is really worthy of more than that. Any pattern and colour suggestions? Don't ask me to wear bright blue though.
I'd pick the green, but I'm partial to that shade. I'd make a sleeveless blouse in a greenish colour with a mandarin collar and maybe even slightly cut away armholes to emphasise the shoulders. The right yellow might even work, too. Is there a pink in there? You could wear pink with your colouring.
Happy Birthday!! Our middle DD will be 30 on Monday. That makes me feel really old! I'd go with the shades of green. Or, do you have an embroidery machine? A tan with a similar embroidered design on the front would be kind of nice.

Bright blue was my first thought. I'll have to think again. Pretty skirt!
ReplyDeleteI second the first comment about the mandarin collar - lots of colours would work.
ReplyDeletecream silk with subtle topstitching to pick up some of those glorious colours!
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is absolutely gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI would wear it with cobalt blue. I think it would be nice with your hair and carnation
Of course you could wear cream or black to be safe, but I think the dark red would really work without being too bright.
ReplyDeletereally simple but not too tailored scoop neck blouse in the darker "raw" linen
